WHAT iS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TEXTFREE LITE AND UNLIMITED?
Textfree Unlimited removes daily message limits, plus you get more tones & themes. Messages also get priority for faster delivery.
CAN I RECEIVE TEXTS FREE TOO?
Yes, choose a unique username@textfree.us, then friends can text directly to your iPod touch (or iPhone). This serves as your unique address with Textfree-- no mobile number required to get texts!
DOES IT WORK ON IPOD TOUCH?
Sure, just make sure youre on WiFi, then you can exchange messages without a phone!
HOW DO I CUSTOMIZE TONES & THEMES?
In Options, assign a different tone or theme to each friend you text with.
REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF
- When you buy Textfree Unlimited, you get a whole year of free texting. Well alert you next year when another $5.99 is due (not bad compared to AT&Ts $240 per year).
- Your friends not on Textfree pay regular charges for texts sent and received--nothing extra.
- If your friends phone cant send texts to an email, have them try using the MMS or picture messaging app. Regular carrier rates apply.
Lot's of great things this release!
- dramatically faster startup...finally!
- fixed several crashing bugs
- fixed cut, copy and paste issues
- improved the way emoji appear in conversation view
- more robust handling of poor networking situations
